Last Thursday I got started on Camelot Sampler by first
picking out the finish date of 2005 and replacing it with 2015.
I have this funny feeling I'd better give myself
the extra wiggle room date wise just in case I don't get it finished by
December.
I also re-discovered why it's
taking me so long to get this jousting section finished - two words - confetti
stitching.
After all these years I'd
sort of put out of my head the two things that Teresa Wentzler is famous (or
infamous) for - blended threads and confetti stitching.
OK now for the pictures......

touched in November 2005

Today's progress showing 3 days of work.
About the only thing noticeable is the
knight's leg is filled in, otherwise it's just sporadic confetti stitching. Sorry for the color being off, the scanner was acting up.

See you in a couple of weeks when I can show more progress.
Thanks for stopping by.

Wow, I love it! It looks a bit like a Teresa Wentzler, is it?
Wow, I can see you're going to have fun with this! :D
Every time I see this project I get an urge to stitch my own, forgetting that one, I'm not a fan of anything Arthurian, and two, I'd have no where to hang this seeing as I don't particularly like anything Arthurian. Still, I love seeing your progress.
It's looking very nice. :)
I have a question. Do you find using a grid helps you more than not? How do you go about putting the grid on your fabric...does it match the chart as with 10 stitches by 10 stitches sort of thing? What thread do you use to put the grid on the fabric? Thanks :)
I have this chart and love it!! I have promoted your blog to my "Must Comment" category because I want to follow every stitch of this beautiful piece LOL.
